We're Expecting!!!!

So the truth comes out and when I say that I mean the truth as to why I never post on my blog and why my house is a mess and why I am falling asleep at work all the time...I am pregnant. I get home from work and after 11 hours of being out and about I have no energy left at all. But despite all of the side affects we are SO EXCITED!!!

In February near the end of the month I started to get suspicious that I might be pregnant. So I took a pregnancy test while Jared was out running errands. Sure enough the test was positive. There was a very light pink line next to the line that lets you know that the test worked. I put the pregnancy test in a little box and when Jared got home I told him I had a present for him.

He opened the box and looked at the test and said disappointedly, "Oh, we're not pregnant."

I couldn't believe it...I said,"No honey...look again...it hard to see but it's there."

I am thinking to myself...why would I have put a pregnancy test into a cute little box and then told Jared I had a surprise for him just to tell him that we were not pregnant? BOYS!!

It finally hit him. He starting grinning like a little child he was so excited and so was I.

Since then I am now 13 almost 14 weeks along and our due date is, for now, November 1st. My first trimester is a couple of days from being over!!! For those of you that don't know a whole lot about pregnancy that means the morning sickness phase generally ends. I have had my share of nausea and throwing up. I actually throw up about 4 out of 7 days but usually only once a day so I can't complain too much. But I must say that I am really hoping and praying that all nausea is gone in a week or so. That would be so wonderful but I do realize that for some women they are sick the whole time...I just hope that isn't me.

As far as looking like I am pregnant not much has changed that way. I have gained weight but I basically just look fat. The baby isn't actually large enough to make my stomach protrude much but they say that most women do swell the first trimester. I am excited to start showing so that I don't just look fat!! We have also gotten to hear the baby's heart beat. That was very cool.

Jared and I are anxiously waiting for our 18-20 week appointment where we find out if it is a boy or a girl. Then we can start buying our baby supplies. I told Jared that I am sorry he won't be a dad before he is 30 but hey babies come when they decide so what can you do?

So we have picked out some names. I am going to list our top 6 of each...Jared might slightly disagree with this list but I think I should have more say since I am the one carrying the baby and giving birth and all that :)

Boys : Andrew, Aaron, Jordan, Ethan, Adam, and Travis

Girls: Emma, Taylor, McKenzie, Kaitlin, Melanie, and Christine

That is our exciting news! Above is a picture of our first ultrasound at 7 weeks. The baby was the size of a peanut back then. It doesn't look like much but is proof that there is a baby inside of me! Below is what the baby will look like this coming week (week 14). In week 14 the baby is generally the size of a lemon or 3 1/2 inches long!
