Happy Fourth of July! Mom, Dad, Jennifer, Angie, Ben, Jared, and I all spent the morning preparing a carnival for the kids. We put our heads together and made a beanbag toss game, a fishing booth, a cupcake walk, a doughnut-eating contest, and a face painting booth. We had everything ready by about 1pm. Ethan, Cameron and Abby loved the carnival.

After the carnival we had lunch and put the kids to bed. Then the adults got to do the carnival next. I have to brag for a second....I beat my mom in the doughnut-eating contest...that's right! :) The party ended when Angie and Ben and Abby had to head back to Idaho Falls. I was sad to say goodbye to my big sister, her husband, and my sweet niece. After they left we waited for the sun to set and then Jared, Jennifer, Ethan and I climbed on top of the roof and watched fireworks in the cool Idaho night. It was the perfect fourth of July and it was so nice to be out of the heat of Phoenix!
